Rise of an Angel

It was kolkata Airport where I was heading for the security check to board my flight till guwahati. For obvious reasons I thought I shuld run my eyes onto passengers waiting for their resp. flights It gives the good insight of how they behave at their best, and then try to imagine how they might react to the situation at the time of crisis..this perspective of mine have sometimes landed me into troubles. There was a foreigner lady with litle kid and strugging with the information for her flight with the security. A middle-aged lady, she looked friendly as she was constantly smiling, and her child companion was at his own, moving freely, playing on the trolley.A close sign that the baby boy is given an option to think out of his own head and breed his own perspective.I always wanted to share my talks and understand a foreigners mind, on how they look at us.After 5 minutes of boarding into my plane I found this same lady to be my co-passenger.The boy was really cute, dressed up in safary, golden haired , thick english accent. It felt so good to hear him talk to his mother, who wuld always respond with positive vibes to calm his unresting mind. It was like you put plums inside ur mouth and try to speak...!!

After 25 minutes of taking off we finally broke the ice and had brief notes on where her destination was, her profession,.. and ofcourse her unfathomable interest to study internal politics of a country. It was amusing to see her interest for the N-E region in india too, she was heading for shillong.
"perhaps you shuld consider Arunachal and come there someday, the politics is really amusing and surprises every now and then" , for which she replied that it takes visitor's permit and she doesnt have that.!
20 days after, I was feeling bored cracking the requirements for the new project.I remembered I had her mail id and tried mailing her to kill frustration but mail failed to get delivered. I googled her name to get the hint of her, maybe her alternate mail-id.After several failed attempts I came across some books, it as scary at it was on East Timorese struggle, horrors of resistants and internal political scenerio. When I cross-checked I found it true to be this lady!!!It was first hand experience of this lady reporting as a correspondent to International news agencies..A Dutch lady living in london, a place which is mother of all nations, accomplishes the task which few will dream of.Spending 2 years of her life in a war prone area and challenging the Authorities of United Nations,to save the people affected, so badly affected by the clashes between the resistant groups and the Government that one has to think if that life is worth saving or to leave it on the mercy of his/her luck,in the mountains.....A loner by the definition of her profession, will that change the fact of her undying services to humankind??
